Long time no post.
It was initially suggested to me by a well meaning friend that I start a blog. "Everybody's got a blog. You ought to have a blog."
So, I started one without any real concept of what I wanted to consistently contribute to the noise and often great content on the web. Well, I've finally actually got a handle on why I'm blogging.
Eureka.
For the last half year, I've been
teaching music to pre-schoolers. The only question I keep asking myself is why it's taken me this long to start doing it. No audience is more hungry for music, no audience more willing to participate or more enthusiastic about songs they know and or more willing to learn and hear new things.Another friend said that around the time kids go to middle school, you know something is changing in them, because they can no longer be motivated by stickers. It's true. That group of kids is transitioning into adulthood. A whole different brand of love and fun is needed to reach them.
But, this blog will be dedicated largely to the ones who light up and run to great me when they see me coming with my guitar and a bag of instruments for them.
